I'm a Certified Human Movement Specialist, Personal Trainer and psychology undergraduate, living in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. I was born in Hungary in 1983. At the age of six I started to train karate and later on I also competed in judo, football, basketball and track and field until the end of my high school years. At the age of eighteen I joined the military and served for five years before I moved to London in the UK.
For the first couple of years I struggled to find time to work out and suffered from frequent knee injuries. I always tried to ‘push through the pain’ but it just never really worked, and in the end I stopped doing regular exercise. Eventually, I ended up living an unhealthy lifestyle: smoking, lack of sleep and living on processed or fast-food. I often felt tired and ill, so I decided to take control of my life again. First, I got trained as a chef just to learn how to cook! Eating clean, healthy, home cooked food was a major turning point in my life. I also joined a Muay Thai gym and I started hiking a lot, while doing my degree part time next to a full-time job.
After graduating I completed a course to become a Certified Personal Trainer by the National Academy of Sport Medicine (NASM). During my course I particularly became interested in knowing about how to avoid injurie and learnt that muscle and joint pains very often originate from poor movement patterns and lifestyle habits. I ditched the idea of ‘no pain, no gain’ and started to concentrate on creating better quality workouts and learnt about corrective exercise and human movement science. Hence ‘Better Move Fitness’ was born.

Corrective exercise is a mixture of fitness and physical therapy. Its main goal is to keep you injury free and eliminate the underlying cause of almost any kind of joint or muscle pain (knee, low-back, shoulder, etc.)

This course from the Brookbush Institute of Human Movement Science is accredited and pre-approved by the most reputable fitness institutions in the USA, Canada and the UK (ACSM, BOC for Athletic Trainers, AFAA, REP UK, ISSA, NASM, PTA Global, CanFitPro). During my course I learnt about functional anatomy of muscles and joints, movement assessments and corrective exercise techniques including:
Muscle release and lengthening (myofascial release and multiple stretching techniques);
Muscle activations (isolated, integrated and reactive);
Self-administered joint mobilisations;
Goniometry, Manual Muscle Testing, dynamic and static movement assessments;
CERTIFIED PERSONAL TRAINER
The personal trainer certificate by the National Academy of Sport Medicine (NASM) is considered to be the "gold standard" in the fitness industry for many reasons. Gaining the certificate requires the most comprehensive knowledge of functional anatomy, human movement science, kinesiology, and physiology, which are the most important when it comes to movement assessment and program design.
