BSc (Hons), HMS, CPT | Kuala Lumpur
I'm a Certified Human Movement Specialist, Personal Trainer and psychology undergraduate, living in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. I was born in Hungary in 1983. At the age of six I started to train karate and later on I also competed in judo, football, basketball and short distance running until the end of my high school years. At the age of eighteen I joined the military and served for five years before I moved to London in the UK.
For the first couple of years I struggled to find time to work out and suffered from frequent knee injuries. I always tried to ‘push through the pain’ but it just never really worked, and in the end I stopped doing regular exercise. Eventually, I ended up living an unhealthy lifestyle: cigarettes, lack of sleep and eating fast-food. I often felt tired and ill, so I decided to take control of my life again. First, I got trained as a chef just to learn how to cook! Eating clean, healthy, home cooked food was a major turning point in my life. I also joined a Muay Thai gym and I started hiking a lot, while I continued to study with a full-time job.
After graduating I completed a course to become a Certified Personal Trainer by the National Academy of Sport Medicine (NASM). During my course I particularly became interested in knowing about how to avoid injurie and learnt that muscle and joint pains very often originate from poor movement patterns and lifestyle habits. I ditched the idea of ‘no pain, no gain’ and started to concentrate on creating better quality workouts and learnt about corrective exercise and human movement science. Hence ‘Better Move Fitness’ was born.
WHAT I DO
Corrective exercise is a mixture of fitness and physical therapy. Its main goal is to keep you injury free and eliminate the underlying cause of almost any kind of joint or muscle pain (knee, low-back, shoulder, etc.)
STRENGTH & ENDURANCE TRAINING
The foundation of any kind of resistance training program, which combines stabilisation and strength type of exercises. A must if your goal is to lift heavy weights safely in the future or if you simply want to improve your muscular endurance.
SPEED, AGILITY AND BALANCE WORKOUT
An important part of a comprehensive training program, especially when it comes to power type of movements such as jumps or changing directions rapidly. Have full control over your body, improve your speed, coordination, reflexes and teach your body how to stabilise itself.
Do you want to improve your running or stamina? Whether it's about running a half marathon, preparing for a football game or a boxing fight, cardiovascular endurance is a determining factor of success. But most importantly it will strengthen your heart, lungs and improve your circulation.
WEIGHT LOSS PROGRAMS
Does exactly what it says. I will help you to identify methods and lifestyle changes that can help you to lose weight safely and gradually. Although these methods are slower to bring results, they are based on losing body fat rather than dehydration. This means your weight loss will be permanent and sustainable.
ONINE PERSONAL TRAINING
Why wouldn't you take an advantage on technology, and save time and money while working out online? You'll get the same assessments, consultations and results that clients who train live 1-on-1. Online sessions are scheduled via video calls, and furthermore you'll get your individualised workout program with direct links to videos that you can always check to ensure proper form is followed.
